Who doesn’t love sweets? Sour, tangy, or ridiculously sweet, there are sweet brands out there that offer anything under the sun. But if you’re vegan, finding a good sweet to sink your teeth into is not always easy. Often people don’t realise how many vegan options are out there so, here are 5 vegan-friendly sweets to give you a sugar fix.

1. Candy Kittens

Candy Kittens were offering vegan sweets before most big brands had even thought about it. Not only are they sweets plant-based, but they’re also palm oil-free and contain real fruit juices. They come in a wonderful array of fruity flavours, my personal favourite is the blood orange.

2. Skittles

In case you didn’t know, you can be vegan and touch the rainbow! The Original Skittles, Tropical and Wild Berry are completely free of animal derivatives. But be warned, their limited edition ranges are not always vegan, so use FoodLama to check!

3. Fruit Pastilles

Rowntree’s offers a huge range of vegan-friendly sweets, fruit pastilles being one of them. After years of testing, they have perfected the ultimate vegan jelly tot and pastilles so that everyone can enjoy sweets guilt-free. Not to mention, their sweets never contain artificial colours, flavours, or preservatives.

4. Starburst

Formerly Opal Fruits, these childhood favourites have joined the vegan gang. At least in the UK Starburst do not contain ingredients that are derived from any animal.

5. Percy Pigs

Finally, this infamous sweet has entered plant-based territory. In 2019, Percy Pigs were made vegetarian but still contained beeswax, a no-go for vegans. This year they removed the beeswax and vegans took to social media to rave about the new product!
